There is no big difference between surface-mounted downlight and recessed downlight in application. You can choose according to your own situation. If the hole is not affected, you can choose according to users’ preferences. Both of them can be used in kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, corridors, halls and other areas.
4. Maintenance and installation
Recessed downlight: Due to the complex wiring and holes, installation and maintenance may require professional electricians to operate.
Surface-mounted downlight: Installation and maintenance are relatively simple and quick, and it also saves time for making holes.
5. Light distribution
Recessed downlight: Because the recessed downlight is completely hidden in the ceiling, its wall-washing effect and focusing effect will be better.
Surface-mounted downlight: The design is flexible, and there are also different beam angles and styles to choose from.
